National policies for cardiovascular disease are lacking\, insu fficient or simply don’t exist.\n\nAs part of plans to showcase the effo rts of African continent members in ensuring equitable access to preventio n and care\, the leadership of WHF has selected Ghana to host the 2024 Wor ld Heart Day edition. We envisage that various festivities will be organiz ed from 25th September to 29th September 2024.\n\nWatch this space for mor e information soon!\n\n\nUSE HEART FOR ACTION\nFrom 2024-2026 we will camp aign under the theme of Use Heart for Action supporting individuals to car e for their heart and empowering them to urge leaders to take cardiovascul ar health seriously by providing a global platform for action.\n\nThe acti on is the deliberate and impactful execution of efforts. It highlights a s hift from awareness to empowering with a clear purpose and goal. There is also the two-way nature of action: efforts to influence policies and advoc ate for behavior change and physical activity.
