SASNET Ghana
Stroke Association Supportwetwork-Ghana(SASNET Ghana) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in March 2012 by Dr Alpha Chris, Ad Adams Ebenezer and Dr Ben Jabuni.
It is legally constituted in the Republic of Ghana since 26th May 2016.
SASNET Ghana’s primary purposes includes advocacy, raising awareness, and health education/promotion, aimed at reducing the prevalence and incidence of stroke in Ghana.
SASNET-Ghana is governed by a Board of Trustees, responsible for strategic direction and performance. Since its inception in 2012, the organization’s focus has been on raising awareness of the the general public about the risk factors of stroke, how to manage risk factors, how to recognize the signs of stroke and what action to take. Notwithstanding the implementation these preventative measures, hospital admissions are rising.
In collaboration with teams around the world, SASNET-GHANA has developed Post Discharge Support Service (PDSS), the first model in the world connecting survivors after discharge to address the most prominent gaps in stroke care today.
PDSS emphasizes on self management and home base rehabilitation. It is a program that will bring stroke survivors, carers , families and healthcare professionals together to support stroke long term recovery after discharge.

PDSS lays the foundation to promote self management and home based rehabilitation support. It is an innovative platform bringing survivors, carers, families and health professionals together.
